Peaceful, white-stoned beach coves lie along the shore below our cliff-top  restaurant and stunning vistas across the bay towards the town of Sami enchant our visitors while they sample our award-winning cuisine. It’s no wonder that people who return to Kefalonia year after year, also visit our restaurant night after night.

To those in the know, Paradise Beach Taverna is Kefalonia’s most treasured secret. Set in an idyllic location, just on the edge of the coastal village of Aghia Ephimia, our name suits us perfectly.

Year after year, night after night

quality, tradition and enjoyment

Inspired by his encounters with the cuisines of the world during his years spent working as a ship’s chef, Stavros Dendrinos founded Paradise Beach Taverna in 1982. His son Nikitas and daughter-in-law Nikoletta have now taken over the running of the restaurant, alongside a staff made up of family members and locals. Stavros’ philosophy regarding food can be summed up in three words: quality, tradition and enjoyment.

His passion has found fame among celebrities from both Greece and abroad, most notably during the filming of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, across the bay in the town of Sami, when the whole crew, including Penelope Cruz, Nicolas Cage and John Hurt made the trip round the bay every night to eat at the Paradise Beach Taverna.

Nowhere else would do.
